02/08/2008: Weird Sex
Ever wondered what the age of consent is in various nations around the world?
Would you believe that in Spain it's 13?
And even weirder ... in Cook Islands, Cyprus, Egypt, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Kenya, Malaysia, Namibia, New Guinea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe - male/male sex is illegal, while female/female sex is not.
Are we to assume that their women in those nations are incredibly horny, or might it be that their men just like to watch women getting it on together?

01/22/2008: Wall Street Journal Predicts Deep Recession
If ever there were a legacy cast in stone, this is it for Georgie Boy. As his sun finally sets and he prepares to retire in ignominy to his safe house in Bumfuck Texas, we bid adieu to an administration which has blatantly and purposefully done more damage to this great nation than any other in its history.
At last, this time, may the American voting public learn from its mistakes and remember them forever.

12/06/2007: London Underground Announcements
Ya gotta love these ... spoof announcements recorded by Emma Clarke - the lady who used to do voice announcements for the London Underground (their Subway).
Alas, her employers apparently had no sense of humor - following her fun spoofs, she was sacked.

12/04/2007: Running The Numbers
Wow. Truly impressive.
A series of photo prints by Chris Jordan.
His partial description:
Running the Numbers
An American Self-Portrait
This new series looks at contemporary American culture through the austere lens of statistics. Each image portrays a specific quantity of something: fifteen million sheets of office paper (five minutes of paper use); 106,000 aluminum cans (thirty seconds of can consumption) and so on ...
This project visually examines these vast and bizarre measures of our society, in large intricately detailed prints assembled from thousands of smaller photographs. My underlying desire is to emphasize the role of the individual in a society that is increasingly enormous, incomprehensible, and overwhelming.
